What Do Telstra Business Mobile Plans Include?

Telstra business mobile plans are month-to-month plans for businesses with an ABN, with unlimited standard calls and texts in Australia. They run on Telstra’s full mobile network, and if you use up your data you’re slowed instead of charged extra.

You can add bundle plans to share data across more phones, which helps when some staff use a lot of data and others barely use any. Telstra’s own terms say business plans are for business use and need an ABN, ACN or ARBN, so have your business details ready. We’ll walk you through the current plan sizes and prices for your team.

Your TeamWhat to Look AtWhy
Sole trader, mostly calls and textsA smaller business mobile planLow data use, so a big plan wastes money
2–10 staff with mixed useA main plan plus shared bundle plansHeavy users share data with light users
Field staff, tradies and driversA mid or large plan on the full networkCoverage outside the city matters on site
Staff who need tablets or laptops onlineA business data planData-only SIMs for devices that don’t need calls

💡 Why Network Coverage Matters for Business

Telstra has Australia’s largest mobile network. If your team works on building sites, farms, in the car or across regional Queensland, dropped calls cost you money. That’s the one place where paying a bit more for Telstra’s network usually pays off.

How Much Does Business NBN Cost?

Telstra’s business NBN plans start from $110 a month for 25Mbps, with fibre plans running from $125 to $175 a month. The right choice depends on your connection type and how many people use the internet at once.

Telstra Business PlanSpeedPrice
Business Basic (bundle)NBN 25/10$110
Business Essential (bundle)NBN 50/20$125
Business Premium or Pro Fast100/40 (FTTN, FTTC, FTTB) or 250/100 (FTTP, HFC)$125
Pro SuperfastFibre speeds$145
Pro UltrafastFibre speeds, up to 1000Mbps$175
Business Essential (internet only)NBN 50/20$110

Prices from Telstra’s 1 July 2026 changes and Telstra’s business offer terms. Prices and offers change, so ask us for today’s price for your address. You can read more on our NBN internet page.

⚠️ The Honest Take

Don’t buy the fastest plan by default. A small office of three or four people often does well on 50Mbps or 100Mbps. If you run cloud software, video calls, security cameras or a large team, faster fibre plans are worth it, but only if your address has fibre. Tell us how you work, and we’ll check what your premises can actually get.

Tell us the premises address and we’ll check the connection type, speeds and price.

What About 5G Business Internet and Backup?

5G business internet costs from $70 a month and needs no technician visit, so it’s useful for new, temporary or poorly served premises. Telstra’s 5G business plans run at $70 (25Mbps), $80 (50Mbps) and $95 (300Mbps) a month.

It can also work as backup. Telstra’s Smart Modem includes 4G backup on its bundle plans, so if the NBN drops out your internet can switch to mobile. For a shop that takes card payments, even an hour offline costs more than the backup does. Ask us what applies to the plan you choose.

Belong, Boost or Telstra: Which One Suits a Business?

For most businesses, Telstra’s business plans are the right fit. Belong and Boost are great value for households, but they’re built for personal use.

If you’re a sole trader with very light use, a personal plan can seem tempting, but check the terms. Boost’s prepaid terms say the service is for personal use only. For anything beyond that, a business plan gives you the right terms, shared data and support. See our pages on Belong and Boost for personal plans, or the Telstra plans page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an ABN to get a Telstra business plan?

Yes. Telstra business mobile plans need an ABN, ACN or ARBN, and the plan must be used mainly for business purposes. Have your business details and photo ID ready, and we will help with the rest.

Can I use a Belong or Boost plan for my business?

They are designed for personal use, so they are not the right fit for most businesses. Boost’s prepaid terms say the service is for personal use only, and Belong is built for households. A Telstra business plan gives you proper business terms, shared data across phones and business support.

What do Telstra business mobile plans include?

Telstra business mobile plans are month-to-month with unlimited standard calls and texts in Australia. If you use up your data you are slowed rather than charged extra, and you can add bundle plans to share data across more devices. We will explain the current plan sizes and prices for your team.

How much does business NBN cost in Brisbane?

Telstra’s business internet plans start from $110 a month for the Business Basic (25Mbps) bundle, with Business Essential at $125 for 50Mbps and fibre plans from $125 to $175 a month for faster speeds. Internet-only options are available from $110. Prices change, so ask us for the current price for your address.

What happens if my business internet goes down?

A backup connection keeps you trading. Telstra’s Smart Modem includes 4G mobile backup on its bundle plans, so your internet can switch to mobile if the NBN drops out. Ask us what applies to the plan you choose.

Can you set up several phones for my team?

Yes. Tell us how many staff need phones and what they use them for, and we will recommend plans, including shared data bundles, so you are not paying for unused data. We can also help with new phones and move existing numbers across.

Can you repair my staff’s phones too?

Yes. Mobile Connect is also a phone repair shop, so cracked screens, tired batteries and charging problems can be sorted at the same store. That means less downtime for your team.

What do I need to bring to sign up?

Bring your ABN or ACN, photo ID such as a driver licence or passport, and your current provider’s account details if you are moving numbers or internet. For new internet, tell us the premises address.

How do I switch my business internet or mobile plans?

Choose your new plan first and then let us arrange the switch. Do not cancel your old services until the new ones are working, or your business could be left without phones or internet. Contact us a few weeks before if you are moving premises.
